Webinars, Workshops, & Events
APT hosts a variety of events every year designed to share knowledge and enrich our membership. From our Annual Conference, to our PETC Student competitions, Travel Tours and more, there are many ways to participate and get involved virtually or in person.
We publish and deliver a number of high-quality publications, including the APT Bulletin, Practice Points, the Communiqué, the Building Technology Heritage Library, social media, special publications, videos, and the APT website, all overseen by our Publications Committee.

Professional Recognition
The APT College of Fellows instituted a program in 2018 to formally recognize the expert skill level of individuals in the various fields of preservation technology. The Professional Recognition Committee generally announces a call for applications in March with applications due in May.
Awards
APT awards recognize excellence in the development and dissemination of preservation technology. Our fellowship allows a seasoned professional to research a topic that directly impacts the field of historic preservation.
College of Fellows
The College advises the Board of Directors on issues regarding the advancement of philosophy and practice of preservation technology. Members of the College serve on committees or in other capacities, as needed.
Scholarships, Prizes, and Fellowships
APT offers a range of financial assistance programs through scholarships, fellowships, and prizes to support students and professionals from around the world to participate in the APT Annual conference and engage in independent research.
APT Annual Conference
Each year, APT hosts a conference in a different location in North America. Attendees can participate in hands-on workshops, field sessions, classroom sessions, the exhibit hall, traditional trades demonstrations, and more.
Study Tours
APT offers intensive study tours around the world, including travel to Italy in partnership with Assorestauro.
